Giants in line for two compensatory draft picks; Haskins declares

The Giants currently have nine selections in the upcoming NFL Draft and could be in line for two more via compensatory picks. As per overthecap.com, the Giants could be due a an additional fourth round pick for losing offensive lineman Justin Pugh in free agency last March and an another fifth-rounder for Devon Kennard.

The Giants are slated to select sixth overall and will now have 11 selections: a first, second, three fourth rounders, three fifth rounders, a sixth and two sevenths.

The forfeited their third round pick when they chose CB Sam Beal in the supplemental draft in July. Beal injured his shoulder in training camp and spent his rookie season on IR.

This news comes on the same day that Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins declared for the NFL Draft, making him the highest-rated quarterback in the upcoming class.
